Noise

Trying what feels like hard
getting myself off the guard
can’t look up then down
spinning right round right round
wishing there was an out
change the way that I pout
can’t keep inside all day long
growing old no time for song
kids they acting so damn grown
trying to feel what they don’t know
getting all the arrows bent
can’t remember what’s been spent
out of change no time for coins
we don’t live here we’re just noise

Sirens

We see the sirens coming
hear their songs through clouds
the pain that keeps on leaking
the drums too loud for sound
no music to accompany
no one’s hand to hold
the sirens they are coming
showing all for all to know
to see what’s deep within them
hear their words directly from soul
we see the sirens coming
angels in gold silk
beautiful and glowing
the grace of life giving milk
we see the women coming
the sirens we all covet
hear their songs through clouds
the sky that spit them out
falling like the stars
the sirens trap our mouths

Just breathing

And I can see it
the writing on the walls
they whisper sweet nothings
foretelling of falls
the words don’t make sense
but I know them all the same
you can’t see past
how the ending had come
you don’t know truth
you don’t know the sun
and I can see music
my eyes hear the song
you whisper nothing
just breathing all along

Sings like

She sings like midnight
the sweetest rain
the darkest satin
the saddest face
the kind of girl you dream about
that sings of heartbreak
feelings drown
the sound so fitting
glitter fades
beyond pearl lipstick
her face remains
a long lost desire
once a large flame
the kind of fire living
for a lover’s song and game
she sings like sweet midnight
and dances without a move
she sings like sweet rain
on a delightful afternoon
drowns her stories down now
and sings of heartbreak so true

When the picture fades

Look, look here
we’ve got a problem
I fear
you’ve sung the wrong song
once again
now it’s over
now you’re dead.
Can you see it?
Is it real?
Do you know how
this time you’ll heal
without the breaking
or sick nuance
this time you’ll see it
you won’t get off.
Look, look here it comes again
the lies you told
the things you meant
yes, I have broken once again
the second story
comes to this end.

As we once noticed

Let’s hope it rhymes
let’s hope it’s good at keeping time
let’s hope it looks
looks good in gold and white
let’s not delay
unless we’re tired and we can
let’s go for broke
instead of going with the band
let’s take of rules and when they don’t apply
let’s read the writing
the writings on walls that are not mine
this is the world
let’s celebrate before we’re gone
let’s hope for curls
let’s forget what we’ve done wrong
let’s drink to us remember we get to have fun
and when it’s over
let’s hope it rhymes as we once noticed
