Darkly

Fire burning dark
blazing up the sky
bursting into moonlight
getting in your eyes
shattering the atmosphere
breaking down your will
fire burning brightly
doesn’t pay the bills
burdens you for hours
taking all your milk
cannot think for nothing
your sight is shattered still
everything is patterned
patterned by the dark
the fire burning brightly
it’s the night that it has wrought

Sulfur

Black and blue melt down
sulfur clouds surround
the note is not profound
though it is a pleasant sound
trumpets all lie down
on floors so cold surround
blue and black they wait
sulfur clouds from floors they take
blacken out the night
the note it plays to dry to save
the sky that’s burning on

Relaxing things

Blue blossoms and dreams
such nice relaxing things
demons don’t tread
don’t hear the words not said
red is for blood
and purple for the roses
everything is fine here
everything is clear
we float to the sky dear
we float all the way
we won’t come back down
no safety is where we stay
where everything is silence
everything is clear
don’t be speaking lies
don’t be so damn near

Closed eyes

I like the deep midnight
closing eyes till I cry
pending I can see the sky
as if I’m there tonight
don’t know much at all
thought it would all but fall
hoping since much younger days
wishing that I had my way
out in the open world
big dreams such little curls
everything is just so bright
wishing for that deep midnight

Under sky

Follow me into the night
die under faded moonlight
drink the blue from veins unpierced
sustain the death and bring the dark
the black of nothing
existence as art
that hole in the sky my grave site
a cozy little bed for two
follow me into this night
never red this blood of mine
blue as skin grown child in time
die under the faded sky

Sirens

We see the sirens coming
hear their songs through clouds
the pain that keeps on leaking
the drums too loud for sound
no music to accompany
no one’s hand to hold
the sirens they are coming
showing all for all to know
to see what’s deep within them
hear their words directly from soul
we see the sirens coming
angels in gold silk
beautiful and glowing
the grace of life giving milk
we see the women coming
the sirens we all covet
hear their songs through clouds
the sky that spit them out
falling like the stars
the sirens trap our mouths
