Time keeper

Early in the morning after the sunset
we drink our morning coffee
and get ourselves to bed
the midnight taken over
the sunlight in our heads
like stars in our eyes
can’t trick us when we’re dead
after the sun rises
after the midnight sun
we begin the morning caffeinated fun
we drink our morning coffee
and get ourselves to bed
everything is set here
as a watch well timed
early in the morning after the sun rise
we can’t drink our coffee
we can’t go to bed
we don’t sleep too well
when everything’s in time again

Responses

In the morning if I wake up
burning in this bed
the sheets have all gone dirty
painted all deep red
turning brown as want to do
the blood is all but dry
in the morning if I wake up
it will be another morning
that I cry
if I die while sleeping
it will be a pleasure
burning in this bed
I take to waking measured

Warning signs

Early in the morning
the sky bleeds to the earth
the sun will burn forever
at night the world will burst
early in the morning
as the blood drips down
from clouds
the world is boiling over
the sun is drowning now
the clouds will fall still soaking
the blood corrupted from inside
as the blood drips down still
from an empty sky
early in the morning
you see the warning signs

Take your coffee

Take your coffee in the morning
take the cigarette at night
everything to calm the nerves
anything to sleep alright
take the things that wake you up
drink what makes you meak
burn away the scars inside
hide what’s underneath
take your coffee in the morning
black and bitter truth
understand it gets no better
running through in mute
take that cigarette at midnight
know what gets you through

Tears become the smile

midnight grows so cold
these days
she thinks these words
but lips refrain
keeping shut
as eyes grow dim
the sun that shown
the devils within
midnight grows
so cold these days
nights grow endless
souls decay
everything she thinks
it stops
the clocks no longer tick
or tock
