I also

I also have suffered
I also have pain
if you have a cold
well remember that day?
The day that I also
had a cold as you do
remember that I also
suffer as you.
I also have been
abused and mistreated
I also have experienced
the agony you speak of
I also felt anger at unjust hands
I also had a bagel
this morning with jam
I also have a dog, a cellphone
and a sock
I also have problems
the same problems you got
but mine are much worse
because
I also matter
my problems you see
I also deem sadder.

Between sickle cell and autism

Self diagnosis,
an absurd thought
ego driven narcissist
who think they’ve read a lot
surface based psychology
physiology never sought
the deeper medical criteria
just a white man’s evil plot-
everyone’s autistic
it’s a spectrum-just a game
everybody’s special
so diagnose away!
Pop psychology dictates
the psychologist will get paid
because when it comes to pills
you need the insurances to play
you can be a schizo
it’s normal to be a sociopath
we just love playing dress up
reality just an act
so when I say I have cancer
everyone just play along
because if you can be autistic
than medically I’m a dog.

Collectively ill

We’ve chosen sides
we love divides
a generation’s worth
of self loathing and hurt
everybody’s just another victim
the game here is that no one
wants to fix them
everybody loves their bitter memories
we cling to a polarized history
and drown ourselves in sorrows
a cynical tomorrow-a future bathed in blood
and tragedy
everybody loves all the mayhem and fun
caused by unnecessary horror
we pretend it’s much worse than before
that even the good should abhor
but we’ve chosen sides
we love to divide
so the lies we believe just bring comfort
don’t want to wake up-just continue to sleep
the world is on fire but our beds are warm
we love choosing sides
and playing victims
because playing at life is entertaining
realizing you’re dying is just aging
and nobody likes wrinkles anyways

Understand this

I need, I need, I need
to get across this theme
of everything we breed
encases something sinister.
That nothing is as pure
as my truth and word
all these lived experiences
shed light on these entanglements
the dark web of my true regret-
the message clear
you’re malcontent.
I need, I need, I need
to make you truly see
that though our plates may seem
equal in entirety-
that we are all the same-
you can’t make that claim
you just play their game.
I am the one in need-
give me your understanding
that we are not equals
for I’m the realest victim of you all.

Butterflies

We all want to be
beautiful and sad
tragic little butterflies
driven quite mad.

Flying cross the boulevard
floating like a dream
desperate imitations
of what we cannot be.

Everybody wants to be a superstar
show the world how special
that they really are
everybody wants to be
beautiful and sad
depression and anxiety
the best accessory ever had.

We all want to be
beautiful and sad
tragic little butterflies
driven quite mad.

Everybody wants to be
Lana Del or Halsey
all the pretty stories but know
nothing of true suffering.

Everybody wants to be someone else
we all pretend we’re butterflies
while killing ourselves.

Female

Tell me what it means to be a female;
sunsets, hair nets, and twiddle.
Living on the silk and needle
telling of the nights most lethal.
Tell me how it feels to be a female;
remind me what it’s not to live with heels on-
that it’s not the tits or
even
the blood,
nor is it about the vision of the yum-yum.
Tell me what it’s like to be a female
who defines the truth between a split-tail?
All these lipsticks lies
and rouge wails-
this their alibi-
the world’s scared, but
still they will define what’s fair
all along she’s theirs-but who cares?
Tell me what it means to be a female;
cotton candy limes and details,
female tears are lies and evils,
they define our lives,
but we will
defend their rights
until we fail.
